Meet Recap

For be the only JV team in this tournament, Clarkston held their own.

Even though the Wolves were only able to come away from the singles with 1 point at #2 singles; they stormed back in doubles.

The Captains, Bryna Halligan & Danielle Stolzenfeld, led the way blowing part Clarkston Everest 6-0, 6-1 and Our Lady of the Lakes 6-2, 6-4. They fell to All Saints in their final match of the day 6-4, 6-0.

Emelia Tombrella and Elise Lowell took 3rd place at #2 doubles by winning their first match against Our Lady of the Lakes 6-7(4), 6-4, 10-7. They fell in their final two matches to All Saints and Everest Collegiate.

After losing to All Saints in the 1st round, Emily Rousell/Maya Girschner lost a tightly contested match against Everest 2-6, 6-7(9). They finished the day on a high note by knocking off Our Lady of the Lakes 6-2, 7-5.

In their first win on the season, Islay Hepburn/Kennedy Smith teamed up and knocked off Our Lady of the Lakes #5 doubles team 6-4, 6-2. These two were the most energetic and most lively doubles team to watch that day. Even though they dropped their last two matches falling to All Saints 1 & 1 and losing a nailbiter to Everest 6-7(5), 4-6; they had a lot of fun.

The Wolves competed very well today and I am very happy with our results. Keep up the good work ladies!
